In
1905, the Alpharetta Baptist Church was constituted
with nineteen people joining as charter members. In
1906, the church built a small, white framed
building with a gift from the Baptist State Board
and gifts from the members. As the church grew, new
space was added and the present worship center was
completed in 1978. By this time, Alpharetta Baptist
Church had changed its name to First Baptist Church
Alpharetta.
Over the years Alpharetta and the surrounding areas
have changed greatly, and our church has been
blessed with the opportunity to impact our changing
community. We have an intentional focus for reaching
the community and all nations for Christ.
God has blessed us with significant growth and we
continue to grow; however, we remain focused on
helping others grow in Christ. As we continue to
reach out to a fluid community around us, we know
God will honor our commitment to Him and our focus
on reaching our community, and we look forward to
continuing to impact this area for Him. |
