Baby Dedication at a Glance

BABY DEDICATION is not an act that you find mandated by scripture, but it is a physical symbol of parents choosing to dedicate their children to the Lord, and committing to raising them according to His will. Our KidCity team considers your commitment to dedicate your child to the Lord an opportunity for our Children's ministry to begin a partnership with the parents and actively walk alongside you in your journey as parents.

Next steps

If you are interested in taking the next steps to dedicating your child at Alpharetta First Baptist Church, please fill out this form and our Children's team will begin to walk alongside you on this journey. We will be presenting baby dedications in the 9:30 and 11AM worship services once a quarter. Along with the Sundays of dedication will be opportunities for you to meet and engage with our staff and Children's ministry team and leaders.

We want to help you be intentional with this process, so there will be some homework. When you sign up, you’ll be asked to upload a picture of your child that you would like to be shared in service. At the orientation we’ll talk about choosing:

  • 3-5 words describing the person you hope your child becomes

  • 3-5 family values

  • 3-5 priorities for your family in this season

  • Life verse for your child
