First Foster Care exists as a ministry of Alpharetta First Baptist Church to share the unconditional love of Jesus Christ. We believe that every child matters.
We hope to INITIATE conversations on how your family can prayerfully pursue your involvement in serving and loving vulnerable children.
Our desire is to EDUCATE every individual in the church on the current foster care crisis and provide pathways of engagement.
We will stand beside you in support as you ACTIVATE your family to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
RESPITE CARE
Respite families provide short-term breaks for foster families by caring for foster children. These can be regular, recurring visits to the respite home, or just occasional stays in the case of family travel, emergencies, etc.
Average placement: 1 weekend at a time
FOSTER CARE
Foster care is a state system where adults and their families care for minor children when those children are unable to stay in their biological homes. These families are willing to work with an agency and/or the state towards a permanency plan for the child.
Average placement: 6-15 months
